Spring is here ladies and gentlemen, and what better way to celebrate than with the latest spring fashions? Last week Jimmy Choo hosted a lovely spring charity shopping event at its store in Bethesda. The District’s fashionable ladies showed up dressed in bright spring colors from hot pink shoes to lime green clutches – making for a great streetstyle shoot opportunity. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the Shoot for Change scholarship at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at the American Ballet Theatre. There were yummy hors d’oeuvres and champagne for guests to enjoy as they viewed the Spring/Summer collection. Take a look!

Colored jeans are all the rage now and you can see them in every store. I was on a hunt for several colors but unfortunately couldn’t find some in my size. I did end up with the yellow below and two tops that I thought would pair nicely with it. I love pairing green/yellow or blue/yellow orpurple/yellow or pink/yellow – any color imaginable. Yellow is one of those colors that can really go well with anything.

I’ve been loving the rich blue colors of this blouse as seen HERE and HERE and these colored denim jeans lately and wanted to pair them together since they are in the same color family. I love that though they are each different shades of blue, there is a certain cohesiveness to the outfit with a hint of subtle color difference.

Romance is in the air…DC’s love affair with style is flourishing. At the Romantic Movement event at the Water St. Project last Sunday, men and women alike brought it out in spades to attend menswear style blog Street Etiquette’s Romantic Movement, a music showcase featuring hip hop, soul, and electronic music that provided plenty of sartorial inspiration. There were incredible layering techniques, colorful lips on the ladies, and Sheldon is wearing a kimono, for heaven’s sake…that’s how you know the love is real. Commitment via kimono. Can you dig it?
