- A Takoma Park apartment building is raising its rent by 70% over the next couple of months (which is INSANE). Of course, the residents are not taking this shit and they’ve begun to rally. Good for them. (via Curbed)
- The Wharf is fully financed or whatever. Why don’t you read our thing about The Wharf instead. (via WBJ)
- Almost one in 10 adults adults in D.C. are done with school and unemployed. It’s a party! (via Washington Post)
- Car2Go is expanding to Arlington, but there is a catch, if you pick up a car in D.C. and drive into Arlington, you have to return that car to D.C.. And vice versa. (via Washington Post)
- CUA is HYPED about the pope visiting. (via WAMU)
- Metro is fucked, so they hired a bunch of people to make them less shitty. I feel like we’ve been down this road before, but good luck. (via WAMU)
- A Planned Parenthood is moving in next to a charter school and people (read: parents) are all up in arms. Someone grab the smelling salts. (via Washington Post)
- D.C. could start having problems with our water supply by 2040. Bring on the apocalypse. (via WJLA)
