WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy…
- Artist Richard “CHAOS ABZU” Mijangos drew a delightful little picture of our city. Side note: does it bother anyone else that some of the buildings are taller than the capital? There’s something wrong with me. (via A Creative DC)
- The Main Avenue Fish Market (take a look at our ~timely~ Hidden DC) is claiming that the The Wharf redevelopment is trying to push them out. That sucks. Everyone should be able to buy delicious crabs. (via City Paper)
- Boston is definitely not hosting the Olympics. D.C. could host the Olympics. That sounds terrible. How about we not? (via Bizjournals)
- It’s the Silver Line’s, first birthday! What a fucked up little baby. (via WAMU)
- You no longer need to take the SAT (or ACT) to get into GW! Unfortunately, it’s still required that you accrue a horrific amount of debt. (via Washington Post)
- Remember that steakhouse with the $125 cocktail? Jack Rose’s Dram & Grain now has a $135 cocktail. It looks like D.C. bars also want you to accrue a horrific amount of debt. (via City Paper)
- Adventure Theatre, in Maryland, is putting on a Garfield musical and it looks fucking weird. (via City Paper)
- Thip Khao is serving tree ant eggs. Bugs are terrible. This makes me sad. (via Eater)
