WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy…

  • The owner of Thip Khao is opening a Lao noodle house called “Khao Poon”. Not only does this sound delicious, but it’s going to be in DC proper so A++ you guys. (via POPville)
  • Buzz Bakery is closing and Bluejacket is taking over their space and replacing it with a bottle shop and tasting room. That is so much cooler than a bakery. I’m not even sad. (via Washington Post)

  • Someone tagged a portrait of Bill and Camille Cosby with the word “rapist” on the Smithsonian’s website. I’m very fine with this. (via City Paper)
  • POPville is calling for Ben’s Chilli Bowl to take down their Cosby mural. I’m also fine with this. (via POPville)
  • The Washington Blade is arguing that Dacha is being punished for its success. I’m always 100% pro beer, so I’m with them on this one. (via Washington Blade)

  • Check out this sweet profile on BYT friends / Bentzen Ball alum Seaton Smith. (via Washington Post)
  • Texas Jacks Barbecue is opening a location in Arlington. All I know is, It better be damn good if they expect me to travel all the way to Virginia. (via Washingtonian)
  • Our very own city has (possibly!) ticked people $1 million for violations that don’t exist. This could make some of us very rich (and by rich I mean you’ll be refunded $50 dollars and $50 dollars can buy a lot of beer and being rich with beer is better than being money rich). (via WUSA)
