  • Drivers beware! The City just installed 5 new speed cameras throughout the District. I guess you’ll have to practice being a stunt driver for the next Fast and the Furious elsewhere. (via Washington Post)
  • Derek Anthony Colquitt, the bassist and manager of the Junk Yard Band, passed away yesterday in a motorcycle accident. (via Washington City Paper)
  • U Street’s Bistro La Bonne closed down for good, and a place called Sudhouse will replace it. (via Eater DC)
  • ParkedIn, a GPS-based app that allows users to find and reserve nearby parking, is slated to officially launch June 1. (via DC Inno)
  • As of this past Saturday, companies looking to sell alcoholic cupcakes and other baked goods can apply for a license to do so. There are also new licenses allowing distilleries and wineries to offer drinks on-site. (via DCist)
