  • It looks like DC won’t be getting that nifty new streetcar system anytime soon. Instead, the DC Council plans to lower taxes on a new middle-income tax bracket, which means more of that paycheck may end up in your wallet. [via Washingtonian]

  • Uber is stepping up their SUV game with uberXL. With seats for up to 6 passengers, you and your carless crew can ride to concerts, festivals, and sporting events in style. Well, Uber style anyway.

  • Speaking of getting out, you don’t even have to leave home to get booze anymore. Liquor delivery service Ultra launches in DC this week, and will bring you any – seriously, any – amount of alcohol for a $5 delivery fee. They’ll still ID, but come on. This is the future, people.   • Need to work off all those drinks? On-demand gym service Drop-In has your back. They’re hosting a week of free workouts at BodySmith Gym in Logan Circle with giveaways from sponsors like Sweetgreen and Relay foods. All good things.
  • A 10 year-old from Falls Church, VA  may have broken a world record by running a half-marathon in just one hour, 35 minutes, and two seconds. [via NBC Washington]
