WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around DC) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy.

  • First off, you may or may not have noticed your favorite food trucks refusing to serve you today. No, our favorite mobile chefs, cooks and food service friends aren’t suddenly as*holes; they’re protesting proposed food truck regulations that would severely limit parking, therefore commerce. To let city council know you’re against these new almost-laws, click here. To not, prepare for a future full of no food trucks. (via Food Truck Fiesta)

  • In more food news, DGC Delicatessen is giving away FREE PASTRAMI SANDWICHES to its first 50 customers tomorrow Tuesday, May 7th. (via Washingtonian)
  • And in non-food news, two Virginia songwriters are suing Justin Bieber and Usher for over $10 million in a copyright infringement lawsuit. Ouch. (via WJLA)
  • Some people in Maryland stole some giant fake plastic dinosaurs so, you know, that happened. (via Huffington Post)
  • And lastly, what’s going on with all o’ dat Washington Monument construction? Apparently we can expect the famous landmark to get LIT. UP. once it’s over. In the Capital’s got the latest.
