WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:
- Did you watch the halftime show? The Post has a lot of thoughts about it and all of them are bad.
- Speaking of the Super Bowl, no one had a better night than Wingos.
- In more Super Bowl news, the owner of Taylor Gourmet and the owner of The Salt Line had a very adorable football bet.
- Takoma Park doesn’t know what to do about its streets that are named after Civil War generals.
- This is an interesting long form-ish story that boils down to speed cameras are the woooooooooooooorst.
- Using a Metro parking lot is about to get more expensive because Metro does whatever it wants and I guess we just take it.
- Look’s like I’m moving into this bathtub at the Willard.
- Convivial has a late night happy hour menu that’s perfect if you like to get a little bougie with your drunk food.
- American University has a Comedian In Residence, which is surprising because my alma mater already does a great job at making a joke of itself.
- Every restaurant in D.C. is becoming a taqueria.
- And speaking of closings, The Chickery is gone for good. We’re gonna miss those sandwiches.
- Also, DGS is saying goodbye this Sunday. This one definitely came out of nowhere.
- Spending some time in Baltimore? WTOP recommends you check out some great spots in Remington, but apparently Remington now includes all of Hampden and Charles Village, so that’s fun! Also, please don’t go to Clavel. The wait is already annoying as hell and I need access to their rockfish ceviche at all times.
- And Potomic Phil strikes a deal with the devil once again.
