WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:

  • Did you all hear about the bomb cyclone? Also, every band should rename themselves Bomb Cyclone. (via WJLA)
  • And speaking of the BC (we’re calling it the BC now), here’s a list of food and drink specials to lure you out of your house / apartment / car / whatever. (via Eater)
  • Also, water main breaks and bursting pipes are happening all over the city. Damn you BC! (via WAMU)

  • And shovel your damn sidewalks! If I can take a break from throwing up (thanks food poisoning!) to shovel and salt my sidewalk than you can too. (via Greater Greater Washington)
  • Your daily bike share PSA: Don’t put your dockless bike on a frozen lake / canal / etc. One day the lake will not be frozen because that’s how weather works. (via WTOP)
  • The Chinatown metro station is bumping IHeartRadio’s smooth jazz station and I’m not opposed. (via POPville)

  • While luxury apartment buildings often have a list of features and amenities longer than a CVS receipt, the Pike & Rose in Bethesda is one upping everyone by putting in a rooftop farm. Perfect for those of you who want to live out that Harvest Moon lifestyle. (via WTOP)
  • At worst, construction at the Corcoran might be making students and staff sick. At best, it’s incredibly distracting and comes with a host of other problems. (via City Paper)
  • And speaking of construction, Grand Duchess is scaling back their hours during their upcoming renovation. This is a great bar if you want somewhere semi quiet to have a good drink on 18th. (via POPville)

  • Washington City Paper dives head first into D.C.’s flourishing coffee scene. (via City Paper)
  • The folks behind D.C.’s favorite pizza company, Timber Pizza Co., are opening up a bagel spot in Park View. Also it’s going to be vaguely Florida themed? I don’t know what’s happening, but I do know I want a bagel right now. (via Eater)
