WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:

  • Tian Tian maybe has arthritis and might have to undergo acupuncture. (via Post)
  • John Cleese is offering a kiss and $1000 to anyone who finds his diary. (via Fox 5)

  • Chef Miranda Rosenfelt (Sally’s Middle Name) has won the DC Central Kitchen’s Capital Food Fight. DC Central Kitchen was able to raise $638,000 during the event, so I guess they’re the real winner here. (via press release)

  • The Wall Street Journal claims we’re one of the top choices for Amazon’s HQ2, but it really seems like they’re just guessing. (via City Paper)
  • Brookland is getting more retail instead of shipping container apartments, which sounds like a win in my book. Who actually wants to live in one of those? (via Curbed)
  • The Post had triathalon bikers race to test D.C. different bike share programs… and they were all beat by a pedestrian.

  • And speaking of transportation, GGW has a list of the 10 best ways to decrease traffic / improve transportation in D.C. I learn something new from them every day.
  • The Post ranks D.C.’s “hidden” bars from easiest to get into, to the hardest. If you have that Cuba connect, please hit me up. (via Post)
  • The Watergate has installed an ice rink on its roof with a heartwarming story behind it. (via WJLA)
