WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:

  • D.C.’s favorite Christmas popup bar has unleashed some info about their cocktail menu and it sounds as magical as always. (via Eater)
  • Speaking of the holidays, D.C. residents spend an average of $736 during the holidays, while residents in Columbia, MD spend an average of $2,032. (via WalletHub)

  • Metro is arguing their reduced schedule has made more people on time and man does that sound like bullshit. (via WTOP)
  • GGW thinks we should close off Rock Creek Parkway near the Kennedy Center. I know nothing about traffic flow or road building. I don’t know if this is dumb or genius. Someone please tell me.
  • Meanwhile, Capital Weather Gang thinks D.C. might get some insane snow this year. if it’s going to be freezing all the time, I’d much rather it snow. It at least give me something pretty to look at and some days home from work. (via Post)

  • The National Park Service doesn’t want you to play football (or any other sport!) on the Mall and some locals are real angry. (via WAMU)
  • A basement bar without a name has opened in Shaw. It looks cozy. (via City Paper)
  • Three Fox Vineyards in Virginia encourages it’s visitors to dress like Lucille Ball and crush grapes with their feet and I’ve never been so intrigued and horrified in my life. (via Washingtonian)
