WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:

  • Your required reading for the day.
  • We saw the Foo Fighters at the new Anthem. We have photos.
  • Metro is trying to figure out how the hell they can increase their rider numbers because I guess becoming faster, more reliable or cheaper is too hard? (via GGW)
  • Also, a person was struck L’Enfant Plaza this morning. (via DCist)
  • The Newseum is still maybe going to close, but at leas we’ll have the Museum of the Bible! (via Post)

  • D.C. is gearing up to plant 100 trees a day for the next six months. Goddamn that’s a lot of trees. (via WAMU)
  • These are the best license plates in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. You crazy kids. (via WTOP)
  • An Arlington resident found a racoon chilling in her bathtub and freaked out about it. I straight up would have kept that thing and raised it as my own. (via ARL Now)

  • In other wacky animal news, a swarm of bees attacked 32 Maryland students. The hell is going on? Is this the end of days?
  • In less apocalyptic news, D.C.’s best Halloween decorations are back. (via POPville)
