WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:

  • Weed activists are returning to the Capitol to protest, but this time, they’re not passing out joints. I mean, it makes sense from a logical standpoint but damn it’s not as fun. (via WTOP)

  • The weather this week makes no sense and I have no interested in participating. I’m just going to stay at home. (via Post)
  • A National Arboretum employee climbed a 95 foot poll in a storm to save a baby eagle because he is a goddamn hero and a miracle worker. (via WUSA9)

  • Some Catholic U nuns have formed a band they’re calling Force of Habit and 1. I can’t stop giggling and 2. This reminds me of that time my youth pastor told me I’d be happier if I didn’t listen to Nirvana. In retrospect, he wasn’t wrong. (via Post)
  • The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is going to pick up where the Ringling Bros. left off. (via DCist)

  • These are the best goddamn views our picturesque city has to offer. (via Curbed)
  • Speaking of views, GGW ranked all of our national parks.
  • Living downtown is essentially impossible, but considering how expensive it would be if there were vacancies, why would you? (via City Paper)

  • No matter how much you hate them, bike commuters are better than us. (via Washingtonian)
  • The H Street Chick-fil-a will be here sooner than you think, which means drunkenly eating waffle fries is going to be 10x easier. (via DCist)
