The Washington DC Fantastic Film Showcase (put on by The Mid-Atlantic Film and Television Group and AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center) will be playing movies like Hunt for the Wilderpeople (by the director of What We Do in The Shadows), Evolution, The Blackcoat’s Daughter, and more. (via Press Release)

  • Here’s your cry-your-self-to-sleep-why-are-white-people-so-garbage story of the day! (via Greater Greater Washington)
  • Crane & Turtle is becoming a crab shack (temporarily) and we wholeheartedly approve. (via City Paper)

  • A man drove his Hummer into the Silver Diner in Virginia. (via WJLA)
  • Both Oddisee and Kokayi have new music out. Take a listen. (via NPR, Kokayi)
  • There are going to be 15 city sponsored art pop ups all over D.C. this year. (via DCist)

  • Will tipping go extinct if D.C. raises the tipped minimum wage? No one knows, but that won’t stop everyone and their mother from having an opinion. (via City Paper)
