WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy.

  • BREAKING NEWS (kind of): Dupont Underground has just released the submissions for their Re-Ball project and they’re delightfully weird. Clearly the BEACH balls are going to be put to good use. (via Dupont Underground)
  • The Metro was on fire again today! Better reset the countdown. (via Washington Post)
  • Speaking of Metro, they’ll be testing their new Monthly Select Pass starting this Wednesday if you’re still interested in riding one of their highly combustible trains. (via WAMU)

  • Funk Parade has unveiled some of the details of this years parade, which will include a “A roller-skating salute to DC of the 1970s” and “Phone booths that connect participants to the city’s past and future” I don’t really know what either of those entail, but they sound great. (via Funk Parade)
  • The Redskins new stadium is going to include a moat because that’s EXACTLY what we need. (via City Paper)

  • All Souls is breaking ground on a new patio which makes me nervous (because I don’t want it to become even more popular) and excited (becase PATIO). (via Borderstan)
  • New York based band PWR BTTM fights for neutral bathrooms at their shows. (via City Paper)
  • At least two people actually got married at &Pizza today. Not joke marriages, real, legally binding marriages. (via Press Release)
