WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy…
- D.C. public schools are closed through April 1.
- And speaking of closed things, all our Smithsonian’s are taking a break.
- DCist covers campaigning in the time of coronavirus. No more shaking hands and kissing babies.
- Medium Rare is giving away free dinners to quarantined elderly folks in the area and we’re very into it.
- Neighborhood Restaurant Group is debuting a bunch of new lobster dishes, so go eat ’em.
- But don’t panic buy. That’s not good for anyone.
- It’s a social distancing miracle! Rose’s Luxury is now fully accepting reservations.
- In bad, non-coronavirus news, the Uptown has suddenly closed its doors. RIP you beautiful historical theatre.
- Amazon is opening one of their 4-Star stores in Bethesda. Unless it’s one of the stores where I can walk in, buy something and walk out without interacting with anyone, I don’t care. I want the weird robot stores.
- I’ve never want to take the Metro more, and at the same time take the Metro less, in my entire life.
