WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:
- The Washington Post has some interesting thoughts on Mike Isabella’s post-sexual harassment restaurant empire.
- José Andrés might run for senate. Some day.
- Adam Rapoport, the editor-in-chief of Bon Appétit, talks about his love of Maketto, Bad Saint and The Dabney.
- There are weird Bitcoin ATMs all over D.C. because we live in a city of nerds.
- Timber Pizza Co. is breaking in their new event space with a no phones allowed dance party, just in case that’s up your alley.
- Saint-Ex is 15-years-old! Next year it will be able to drive!
- City Paper chronicles the ups and downs of Initiative 77.
- An ice cream cookie sandwich chain is coming to Bethesda and I’m more excited about this than almost any other new restaurant opening in D.C. All I want to eat is mall food.
- A mediterranean / Turkish restaurant called Green Almond Pantry is opening up in the old Seasonal Pantry location. I’ll be forever sad that I didn’t go to Seasonal Pantry before it was closed.
- CVS is going to stop selling SmarTrip cards because CVS owns this city and they can do whatever they want I guess.
