WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:
- Spring is finally here! We can tell because the Adams Morgan BID has officially released the schedule for the Adams Morgan Movie Nights. And if this isn’t a sign of spring, then what is?:
- May 15th: Pixar Shorts
- May 22:Â The Big Lebowski
- May 29:Â Hairspray
- June 5:Â Jackie
- June 12:Â Hidden Figures
- Between the naked man on the Metro and the guy who tried to carjack a bus with a knife, Metro had a fun week.
- Also, Metro has promised not to fuck their new fare-payment app, but… I doubt it.
- The cherry blossoms are probably going to get blown away, so run out and see them now!
- D.C.’s favorite vegetarian taco joint, Chaia, is opening it’s second location this year near the Mount Vernon Triangle. I love having one less reason to make the trek to Georgetown. (via press release)
- Read up on the history of Broccoli City.
- Arena Stage will be hosting a job fair on April 27th. There will be a ton of companies there, as well as career resource agencies, so if you’re looking for a new job (or your first job) this might be a good place to start.
- D.C. has historic gas stations and parking lots because we’ve lost our goddamn minds.
- Between the Cherry Blossom festival, the Emancipation Day parade, the March for Science and the warm weather, this weekend is going to be crazy. Plan accordingly.
