WHEREIN: We bring you the developments (happening in and around D.C.) that we think are newsworthy, or, at the very least, almost newsworthy:
- The cherry blossoms are just as confused by the weather as we are.
- Our favorite movie theater in D.C. is expanding! Hell yes!
- The Department of Public Works is set to make bank off of the 1,600+ snow emergency violations they issued last week.
- Do you use the abbreviation AdMo? Do you use abbreviation CoHi? Do you hate yourself?
- A new beer and game bar is opening in Georgetown, just in case the other beer and game bar gets too full.
- Washingtonian bit the bullet and tried Whole Food’s sushi sandwich. Just thinking about it makes me ill.
- Eater has a sneak peek of Shaw’s newest restaurant, San Lorenzo.
- These are some of the best places in D.C. to relax and escape from it all. I personally like to get in bed, pull the covers over my head and listen to hours of Hardcore History in the dark, but to each their own.
- Howard University students are protesting after it was announced this week that hundreds of thousands of financial aid money was misappropriated (among other things).
- A man has been terrorizing pricey D.C. restaurants and hotels by coming in, ordering their most expensive booze / food and then skipping out on the bill. At the Ritz, he skipped out on paying for a $1,200 shot of whiskey.
- And speaking of bad hotel behavior, a group of people trashed a room at The Line and then skipped out on the bill while being pursued by police.
- Let’s end the day with something good. This is the nicest story you’ll read all day.
