- GET WET: There was supposed to be a gun rally on the Mall on July 4 but that didn’t happen for obvious reasons. The counter-rally, The Toy Gun March, is happening. WE APPROVE.
- then, bask in the All-American glory of Harrison Ford being chased by Tommy Lee Jones @ NoMA Summer Screen’s FUGITIVE
- head to Jack Rose for WET HOT SAMERICAN rooftop party which features $3 beers from 5-8pm or $4 beers from 8pm to close and some other stuff (including CIDER-tails! WHAT?)
- indulge in some old-school-yet-hipster-approved country @ OUTLAWS at Marx Cafe
- and The Dunes host something called BEER, BANDS & BBQ which sounds like a pretty solid description to how this weekend should be kicked off.

- Lumen8 Anacostia kicked off their summer programming. The opening was excellent. You have until August 10 to make it to Anacostia.
