There is no doubt that the District will never be a Paris, Milan, Berlin or NYC. But we have to give credit where credit is due.
The District hails a variety of people.. from the young, to the beautiful, to the intelligent and all thats in between. These unique people bring a vast variety of style and fashion that ultimately fuel the culture of the district. This column is here to document the unique style of the amazing individuals who walk the city streets..as the great Alexander McQueen said himself, “It’s a new era in fashion – there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together.”
Despite the fact it’s winter I loved how he wasn’t afraid to incorporate white pants into his wardrobe. The pumpkin leather gloves and green Puma’s added the perfect pop of color completely changing the tone of his outfit.
Shout out to the lovely ladies at Ginger Root Design. Loved her chic combination of a high waisted skirt combined with a feminine crop top. Her quirky accessories really allowed her to add her own unique edge to the outfit.
Trend Alert! The streets are definitely saying bow-ties in casual settings are back and not just for the gentleman. Once again bright blue and black proves to be a chic and trendy combination, plus the polka dotted bow tie proved to look great on a plaid background.
Turquoise resortwear pants paired with a camel colored blazer really made this a great seasonal transitioning outfit.
Just when I thought animal print sweaters were a passing fad, this zebra print cardigan turned a simple black ensemble into an effortlessly cool outfit.
This stylish young lady is representing Prague! Although the color palette of her outfit was very neutral, the embroidery on her coat and uniquely patterned tights made for an eye-catching pair.
I really haven’t seen an outfit more ready for the spring! Way to keep warm in bright colors.
