“Ever since kindergarten it has always been a nightmare for me to choose a favorite piece. I never even managed to get close to the basic ones such as colors, animals or books, but when it comes to clothes, the decidophobia turns into mood swings that I love to express through unusual combinations.”
Alisia Kleinmann, Founder of INDUSTREE
“I love to mix and match! I rarely pay much attention to colors or prints or the ‘rules’ … I just go with what I love and what makes me feel fun and pretty! Some of my favorite style components right now are perfectly tight jeans, uber short cocktail dresses, vintage gowns, crazy prints, anything backless, and HUGE necklaces. I always tell myself to never be a sucker for a fashion ‘fad’. I make my own!”
DJ Thomas Blondet
“The way we dress is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves, and my wardrobe is an expression of how detailed my ear is when it comes to making music. Just like frequencies, colors and shapes balance one another in order to create a tapestry which is pleasing to the senses.”
“As a fashion merchandising student, I wear what pleases my eye and reflects my mood. I go through diverse stages where I reinvent my image. Right now I’m clashing bright colors and patterns with an ’80s vibe. My style celebrates my identity, and my view of life– even if it’s perceived as too loud or weird.”
Scott Greenberg, Founder of AMPS Creative
“My personality mimics my inspiration. I may be quiet at first, but the more you get to know me, the more detailed centers of interest you will find. I’ve always been attracted to small yet loud details, ranging from micro prints to mixing patterns to colored shoelaces and wild socks. If you play down wild and loud features, it is amazing what you can get away with. You’ve got to know the rules to break the rules.”
