With June less than a week away (HOW?!), some of us are more than likely already gearing up for Pride. And while IRL celebrations have been snuffed out by new (and understandable) safety measures, there’s still a virtual parade this pandemic can’t rain on.
Crys Matthews and Heather Mae are planning to contribute to the month-long party with their Singing OUT Virtual Pride Tour, a set of twenty-one digital dates celebrating twenty-one cities’ LGBTQ+ supportive venues. In their words, it’s “Pride on tap in the form of LGBTQ+ affirming social justice music.” HECK YES.
Here’s the full list of dates and featured cities; we’re ULTRA-pumped to present the DC and NYC combo show on 6/6 in true BYT spirit. Once you’ve got your ticket, you’ll be sent a link to view the show on the selected date.
The shows are happening via Zoom, meaning there’s an extra-cool interactive element to help you find queer community in your town from a safe social distance. (And nothing says you can’t take a virtual visit elsewhere, if you feel like connecting with people in some of the other cities on tour!)
Pride outfits are HIGHLY encouraged, however you identify! There’ll also be games, prizes and a whole lot of fun, so grab your tickets and we’ll see you there!
BYT makes our living off of things that are currently non-existent as a source of income (arts, events, arts and event advertising). If you’d like to support the work we do, click here. Every little helps right now. Thank you.
