This Saturday, July 23rd is the national clear the shelters day, and one of our local shelters, the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center is having a huge adoption event. All adoption fees will be waived and there will be a host of homeless dog and cats (as well as small animals like bunnies and guinea pigs!) available, all of whom are desperately looking for their fur-ever home. It is a great event which should motivate you to go out there and find your perfect companion! Stop by between 12-5 p.m.  to visit the animals, engage in meet ‘n’ greets, and talk to volunteers and staff about finding your feline, canine, or small animal match. Here is a preview of some of the kitties who need loving homes:
Fat Boy: He is the sweet, cutest tuxedo you will ever meet. He looks like an owl. Or maybe a koala. But he is a cat who wants to sit on your lap, purr and be your best friend forever.
Lucy: This sweet kitty has been at the shelter since January! No other cat has been there this long! Please, please adopt her.
Alisha: My best friend’s name is Alisha, so I know this little angel is as sweet and as good of a listener as my friend!
Flossy & Bossy: Well, it doesn’t get much cuter than these two babies. Did you know black cats are the least likely to be adopted at shelters; even black kittens! Let’s have these cuties be the first to get adopted on Saturday.
Skipper & Ivana: How can you not love these two?! Adorable doesn’t even begin to describe them.
Jack: This handsome fella will be the best companion you could ever ask for. He is friendly, easy-going, and loves to be petted and brushed!
