- So there are approx. 40 Lollapalooza aftershows happening every night this weekend. We’re only going to tell you about the ones for which you can still get tickets, because I care deeply for you and don’t want to mislead you with information about extremely sold out shows. For example, you can see Mø and Alle Farben at Lincoln Hall. Tickets are *almost* sold out so act fast here!
- Cherub plays an official Lolla aftershow at Park West.
- G-Eazy is at Prysm Nightclub for a Lollafterparty.
- Joey Purp’s iiiDrops is one of the best albums of the year and you can see him do a Lollapalooza afterparty at Reggies before he becomes super famous.
- Dinosaur Jr., Ne-Hi, and Arbor Labor Union are playing a free show at the Hard Rock Hotel (!!!) Be sure to RSVP or you won’t get in.
- 4th annual Argyle Night Market brings artisanal wares to the far North side!
- Minneapolis pop weirdos On An On headline the Empty Bottle, with opening sets from Val Son and Shy Technology.
- Tonight’s the final night of the Music Box’s excellent Chicago French Film Festival. Catch screenings of News From Planet Mars and Les Cowboys.
- Rock bands Caustic Casanova, Snow Burial, Rollo Tomasi, and Ashell play Beat Kitchen.
- The Hat Stretchers play an early show tonight at The Hideout!
- And then later on at the Hideout you can catch Canadian country outsider Bloodshot Bill, Johnny and the Jerks, and Gentleman John Battles!
- Lollapadaytwoza. Headlining sets from Radiohead, Future, Major Lazer, and M83, daytime sets from folks like A$AP Ferg, Frank Turner, and Modern Baseball.

- Down Town Chicago features over 1,000 feet of slip-slidey wet vinyl laid out all over Montrose Beach for all y’all lookin to slide around a little bit.
- The Bughouse Square Debates celebrates its 30th anniversary in Washington Square Park, celebrating freedom of speech through reasonable, passionate discourse.
- The Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet hosts the Insane Inflatable 5K obstacle course that’s like a BOUNCY HOUSE on STEROIDS that will be a hit with all you color run goofballs.
