- Two damn legends are at Ravinia together, Bob Dylan and Mavis Staples! Damn!
- The Logan Square Arts Festival takes over the Square this weekend, with acts like the mighty Xenia Rubinos and She Speaks In Tongues kicking things off tonight.
- The one and only Martin Lawrence does standup tonight at the Chicago Theatre.
- Subterranean hosts an event that will crown the 2016 Midwest US Air Guitar champion, sending the winner along to compete in the National Finals later this Summer.
- Strand of Oaks plays a free solo show at the Goose Island Clyborn Brewpub.
- Wussy, North By North, and Calliope are all playing the Bottle. People love Wussy!
- Well-loved Comedian David Huntsberger does a special one-night-only engagement at @North tonight!
- Post-Lana Del Rey pop singer Zella Day performs at Lincoln Hall with special guests Dreamers.

- The big man from the TV is back on stage where he came from but also on the movie screen at the Music Box! James Corden IS: One Man, Two Guvnors.

- South Asian standup collective Simmer Brown’s monthly show at the Bughouse Theater returns with sets from Lara Beitz, Dave Helem, and Tim Barnes, plus and musical guest Gabe Liebowitz.
- The Rooks and Marcus Alan Ward play a show at Schubas.
- Later on, Schubas hosts a Phish aftershow starring EGI and The North 41.
- Come out and play-yay with The Warriors at the Logan Theatre tonight.
