Fat Camp was a lot of fun, thanks for coming out. Next up is Jesus Camp, with the Mixtape DJs and myself providing some background music for pool fun times. Let’s do some Jesus songs.
Remember back in 2001-2002 when Yankee Hotel Foxtrot lived up to all the hype and more? It’s sordid backstory of mismanagement and near sightedness at times overshadowed the content, until you actually sat down and listened to it. I don’t care if Wilco puts out mediocre records for the next 20 years, this modern classic can never be tarnished. From beginning to end it is a beautiful record, but one of it’s finest moments comes right in the middle with Jesus, Etc. Violin, steel guitar, and Tweedy’s voice make such a perfect combination, I’d vote it one of the best songs written this decade. Even if you’re some jaded hipster that pretends to hate Wilco now, you secretly love this song. Fwd it to your mom, she’ll like it too.
