• The SHIFT Festival of American Orchestras continues at the Kennedy Center with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra & Chorus.

• The Underground Comedy Festival continues all weekend. Our favorite show of the night is Romane & Lettuce at The Wonderland Ballroom.

Do some daytime stuff:

• One of the Cherry Blossom Festivals highlights is today on the Mall: Blossom Kite Festival .

• Hang out at the DC Web Fest.

• Spend the day at the National Building Museum in the Architecture of An Asylum exhibit. We loved it.

• Take in a ballet matinee at the Kennedy Center with Hamburg Ballet: John Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid. That suits this week’s theme.

Go home and regroup before tonight:


• The spirits event of the night is the Gin Festival. We’re giving away tickets.

•  The art event of the evening is the WPA Auction and after party at the Uline Arena. Check out our preview here.
