ARTECHOUSE NYC officially kicked off its inaugural weekend on September 6th as NYC’s first permanent venue constructed solely for new media art, and it was pure magic from the get-go. A total revamp of Chelsea Market’s boiler room, the digital art space wowed visitors with its opening installation, which came in the form of Refik Anadol’s Machine Hallucination – an AI-fueled, immersive visual and auditory masterpiece that has to be experienced IRL for full effect. (I’d highly recommend swinging by the balcony bar for an augmented reality cocktail after you finish checking out the space below, because one does get a little dizzy in the best possible way.) We don’t want to spoil too much of the action for you, but you can scope some snaps below for a general vibe. Mainly, just grab tickets, because this is a seriously incredible installation that you DO NOT WANT TO MISS!
