Super exciting news! ARTECHOUSE NYC is slated to reopen in just two days’ time on September 3rd!
We were super lucky to experience Shohei Fujimoto’s Intangible Forms back before the pandemic had caused citywide shutdowns; we’re glad that those of you in the NYC area will finally get the opportunity to safely check it out! (Seriously incredible and immersive work.)
“Minimalist in nature, the installation parallels our current societal experience of embracing our most foundational lives by highlighting patterns created by the repetitive, modular rhythms of the world around us. Set in a meditative soundscape inspired by the powerful quiet of Shinto shrines in the mountains of Japan, the centerpiece laser performance entrances us to see the intangible as tangible.”
To keep guests and staff safe, ARTECHOUSE has limited its capacity, and is taking additional measures in light of the current pandemic. (Yes, you will need to wear a face mask. Yes, there will be hand sanitizing stations.) Learn more about the steps being taken here; obviously these things are subject to change as they continue to monitor and follow recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and local health departments and government agencies, so just be aware of that.
