NYC artist J. Morrison’s HomoCats: Fight the Power is on exhibit at Transformer, fusing social activism and our social media cat obsession. Until March 15th 2014, Morrsion’s felines will fill the walls of the gallery announcing “We eat homophobes for dinner” and “We are fatigued with gay marriage.” The cats address touchy socio-political issues while making you laugh. It also breaches the question, why are we all infatuated with cropping circling rainbow cats into our pictures? The art responds, “every one loves cats, but does everyone love HomoCats?

This Valentines Day Morrison’s cats will comment on what’s happening with modern love. Also, with Homeward Trails, Transformer will be hosting a cat adoption event this weekend. If you love art, cats, cat art, spinning cats in profile pictures, or want to know what to expect from a modern relationship then go to Transformer (exhibit open Wed-Sat from 12-6 pm).
