Keeping up with the tradition, A Night at the Yards came back this past Friday to celebrate an evening of entertainment, delicious food and, most importantly, raise money for Living Classrooms.

The festivities kicked off at 7 pm with over 30 stands from some of D.C.’s best restaurants including farmer and distillers’ made-from-scratch pork shao bing, art-adrenaline’s hearty salad, sloppy mama’s barbecue, Maki Shop’s tuna roll and Jubilee’s passion fruit sorbet.

The organizers estimate the over 800 guests attended the festivities which benefited Living Classrooms, a non-profit that funds educational and workforce development programs for youth and young adults living in high-risk environments.

The highlight of the night was Living Classrooms’ own student hip-hop group, The Queen Beez, whose all-girl ensemble had the crowd cheering.
