The world is a dumpster fire, so when something gives me joy, I hold onto it for dear life. Today, the thing that is giving me joy is fish tube video redubs. For those of you who are somehow unaware, the fish tube (or “salmon cannon”, as it’s also been called) is the work of Whooshh Innovations, and it shoots salmon from one estuary to another in mere seconds. Because, unsurprisingly, humans have fucked up fish migration so badly that we now need to implement Operation Splash Mountain in a last-ditch attempt to correct the problem. (COOL!) Global doom aside, the explainer video went viral, and the internet has responded swimmingly (pun intended) so far with incredible tweets ‘n memes.
