Restaurant Week 2017 is here and is not playing around. Step up your brunch game this weekend (or week) with these exclusive Restaurant Week menus from our favorite spots around D.C. Best of all, RW brunch offerings are just $22 per person for multiple (usually three) courses. That is a terrific deal to try out exclusive brunch items all over the city.
For $22, you can get a delicious three course brunch. For $32, you can get that menu plus wine pairings. And for $37, you can get brunch plus bottomless mimosas or bloody marys. I’m not trying to tell you how to live your life, but all of these are amazing deals and should absolutely be taken advantage of. Start off with some warm donut holes followed by the chicken and waffles served with a fresh fruit salad on the side. Because you started out with dessert, it only seems fitting to have more dessert. Select two of their warm cookies of the day and prepare to slip into the ultimate food coma.
Proof is offering a fantastic three course spread for their Restaurant Week brunch. Kick off the meal with some summery gazpacho or rich ahi tuna tartare. For an entree, the potato gnocchi with heirloom tomatoes and basil is a classic, or try the BBQ shrimp toast if you’re feeling more adventurous. Finish off with the sticky toffee pudding paired with homemade bourbon ice cream. Proof’s Restaurant Week brunch menu is available this weekend from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Peruvian food is some of the most decadent cuisine to ever exist. Nazca Mochina is offering a three course brunch menu for Restaurant Week that will be gone before you know it. Start out your Peruvian brunch with fries yucca and a side of spicy Huancaina sauce. Try the traditional chaufa de pollo (Peruvian chicken fried rice) or coliflor saltada (cauliflower and potatoes sauteed with spices, tomato, and soy sauce). For something sweet, try the dulce de leche filled alfajor cookies with mango sorbet. This menu is only available this weekend from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
French cuisine and brunch just go well together. At Bastille brunch, guests can choose one appetizer or salad, followed by one sandwich or entree, and rounded out by a dessert. Start out with a refreshing melon salad tossed with cucumber and feta, followed by a rustic tomato and fennel risotto. For dessert, try the fruity lemon tart with blueberry sorbet or the fudge brownie with espresso ice cream. Good thing Bastille has extended their Restaurant Week menu to last until September 3 so you have three whole weekends to indulge.
If you’re looking for a more casual brunch offering, BaBa is serving up comfort food to the max. The $22 Restaurant Week deal includes an appetizer, an entree, baklava for dessert, drip coffee, AND a specialty brunch cocktail. Start your meal out with the Basement Cooler, a tequila drink flavored with watermelon and jalapeño, and a cornbread basket with flavors like spinach and cheese. Go light with a beet and quinoa salad entree, or try the hearty lamb panini. Save room for the baklava! This menu is available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until August 27.
