We’ve been fans of DC artist and special lady Kathryn Cornelius for a while now (read our “Inside the Artist Studio” profile on her here) so when we heard that on August 11th she plans to marry and divorce members of the public as part of her new performance piece “SAVE THE DATE” (at the Corcoran, no less-and you’ve always wanted to get married and divorced at the Corcoran, right?) and is LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO PROPOSE TO HER, we figured a BYT PSA is in order.
- Date: August 11, 2012
- Time: 10am – 5pm
- Location: The Corcoran Gallery of Art
- Event: Take it to the Bridge, Performance Art Series, hosted by The Washington Project for the Arts and The Corcoran Gallery of Art, a part of the Free Summer Saturdays at The Corcoran Gallery of Art
- Follow on Twitter: @SaveTheDateDC
So-Kathryn is still in need of three more proposals (you can check out her current offers here) and you can do so by clicking and submitting here. (age, gender, or marital status are not an issue, all you need is an adventurous spirit) and if you’re not quite in the hitching mood, you can still help out by scoping out the registry here or attending the performance on the 11th.
What are you waiting for?
