Someone at Cork can either swallow a footlong or gave up the anal because I’ve tried their fried chicken and, just like the Washingtonian, was completely underwhelmed.
I’m guessing that whomever wrote this for Bon Appetit didn’t sample chicken at places that looked like there were more darkey than whitey customers.
Now a whole lot of rich honkeys are going to go and try it and think that’s how fried chicken should taste. Shame.
I think General Store serves up the best fried chicken in our area far and away. Anyhew – what it doesn’t say is that is a list of the 10 best “southern revival” style fried chicken restaurants which means it eschews the South entirely and that full on traditional style. Still a crap list though.
They probably eat fried chicken with a knife and fork.
Nice beer news Alex……i just wish i could drink half liters of Augustiner Helles on the Metro home from work.
Speaking of fried goodness….i would like a good country/chicken fried steak in DC. do i have to go to Chiles? this makes me sad.
