I was pretty dead set on us interviewing Alex Winston but stars did not align this time around, so I figured, we may as well do her and her crazy voice a solid and make her a “Video of The Day” before she descends on Black Cat this weekend.

For the uninitiated, Alex Winston is a raven haired pixie from Brooklyn and everyone’s talking her up as the next Florence & The Machine. Which is a pretty good thing to be talked up as but must also be super annoying since, you know, no one ever wants to be constantly compared to someone. I have her EP “Sister Wife” (she refers to her band as her Sister Wives) and it is a busy dizzy collection of anthemic, racing pop songs which owe as much to Kate Bush as they do to the future.
