We’re so ready for Labor Day.
We’re so ready we’ve been brainstorming the ideal picnic supplies/outfits/playlists/menus/Way-to-Fit-All-the-BBQ-We-Can-in-Our-Stomachs plan for weeks, which got us thinking about our ideal Labor Day scenario–perfect tunes, a not-too-scorching afternoon (fingers crossed), grilling (with “it” girl/boy in tow), cocktails in-hand, and munching on some of our favorite local eats.
Among these would have to include the crunch of pickle (we’re grilling here, after all) and there’s no one in DC who bottles it better than Sarah Gordon and Sheila Fain, the ladies behind Gordy’s Pickle Jar.
We caught up with the duo to learn how to pickle for ourselves and learned that yes, you can pickle anything.
