Holiday Candy Tutorial with The Hamilton

If there’s one thing we love, it’s the holiday season; the food, the drinks, the friends and family, the food again (calories be damned). And if there’s one DC pastry chef on the rise who just gets it, it’s Lauren Petri–The Hamilton‘s young, bubbly confectionary visionary.

To get us all in the true spirit of the holidays, we visited Petri for an afternoon of cooking some delicious seasonal sweets–homemade marshmallow squares (perfect for hot chocolate on these cold winter nights) and hand-twisted candy canes. Follow Lauren’s easy how-to and prepare for baking bliss; they make great gifts, but of course we can’t blame you if you keep them all to yourself…
