This Saturday marks the two-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death (and we’ve got a great feature planned for Friday — stay tuned). Lucky for the District we’ve got Who’s Bad — the Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band is coming to the 9:30 Club this Friday ( and we loved it the last time they came to town).
TO WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS: Tell us your favorite MJ music video AND WHY. Be clever/funny/honest/sincere and you could win. Use a real email address when you comment. Winner will be selected Friday morning.

“You are not alone.” For those desperately low moments when DC has forced you into a “i don’t care if everyone is staring at me” public oprah-like cry on the metro.
My favorite Michael video is the one with the cartoon rabbit version of him. First of all MJ is unbelievably awesomely sexy as hell in this video. The big black leather jacket, he’s tough and rides a motor bike. I mean, it’s uber MJ. Manly MJ. Even with all that make-up, hair gel and skin tight black leather pants. I think I recorded this to a VHS tape and played the shit out of it at my Nana’s house as a child. I know all the choreo and drew little sketches of a Rabbit Cartoon version of Myself. How could you not love this….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnDD9wLXJg4
My favorite Michael Jackson video is “Remember the Time” because he truly seemed like he was trying to communicate a message to not only to people of African descent but to everyone. To remember a time where things were different- where everyone had value and self worth.
It took me no time at all to answer this question. My favorite video is without a doubt Don’t Stop to You Get Enough!

The video and song are so awesome. It is how I will always remember MJ. Perfect beat. You can dance to this song anywhere. It just makes you feel like you don’t have a care in the world but to DANCE. And look at the shit flying around in the background. OMG. This video was a pioneer in its day. For about 10 seconds at the 2:33 mark, he multiplies into 3 jheric curled, tight suited dancing machines. Gets me every time. LOVE IT!
Blame it on the boogie. One reason: the FOOT MONTAGE! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7i7bb3uV-ns
My favorite MJ music video has always been Man In The Mirror. It is a profound video that I have had deep respect for a long time. Recently it has taken on a whole new meaning and deeper significance in my life. I am in the process of going through live kidney donation to My best friend, with whom I have seen who’s bad 14 times. We appreciate MJ’s music for many reasons including his message to spread love in life. When my friend told me his kidneys have failed, I knew right then I would donate. There is no way I could face the man in my mirror each morning without my friend here to share this life and continue to see Who’s Bad for years to come!
