I re-gifted a 1980s “What to expect, when you’re expecting” to my brother-in-law. Nobody was expecting, but it sure gave him a hell of a scare. Needless to say, I stopped getting gifts from him after that….

An iPod from my ex-boyfriend that had “I will always love you.” engraved on it, regifted to my brother’s girlfriend…

I regifted a sweater my grandma gave me for Christmas one year. What makes it funny is that I gave it to my cousin. When my Grandma complemented my cousin he told her I gave it to him!

Back when I was married and living in a Christian apartment building, the now ex-wife (it’s cool man, we are still good friends) and I put a box of give-away sex toys in the communal donation area. I’m really not sure if anyone took them but they were gone a few hours later.

In a white elephant exchange last year I received an banana hammock ( man-kini) as a gift and promptly re-wraped it and gifted it the next week at a secret santa party. I am ashamed of myself but the looks on everyone’s faces were so worth it.

Socks and Panties… They were for my mom and I forgot to get my male friend a gift. I didn’t open it because she said you’ll definielty like it. So later on I handed the gift off and left his house. The next day he calls me up dying of laughter because he knew the gift was for me. by the note inside “To my baby, Love Mom.” We both couldn’t stop laughing.

In 4th grade I gave my teacher a regifted Salt and Pepper Shaker set. I put them in a box for a snowglobe. My teacher unwrapped the gift and became very excited at the site of the snowglobe, or what she thought was a snowglobe. She then opened the snowglobe box, and her excitement dwindled….

My now fiancee (in conjunction with me) re-gifted a necklace with an interchangeable marbled bead charm that she received as a gift for finding the Afikoman (the piece of Matzvah hidden by the host(s) at Passover celebrations for the “children” to find, and it is redeemed for a gift) to a friend of mine as her law school graduation gift. We both felt a bit dirty afterwards.

A baseball cap someone got for running a marathon- regifted to Salvation Army.

I accidentally regifted a really crummy stuffed animal – back to the same girlfriend who had given it to me several years earlier.

  • FloridaAngie says:

My boss gave me a “wind up soldier” named Molly for my birthday. It danced and did a kart wheel – and a split. It was perfect for a shitty day. On my way to a birthday party one night I realized I didn’t have anything and grabbed it to re-gift – assuming I’d just repurchase it for myself later. I was never able to find the damn thing again and now every few weeks someone comes in and asks where it went and I shamefully make up a new lie about where it is!

This Christmas I’m hoping to re-gift a pair of Wanda Sykes tickets…
