DCWEEK, the District’s 2nd annual technology conference, steamrolls into town on November 4th. But before all the nerds get down to the hard work of trying to save the world with tweets, they have budgeted some time for partying. This Friday, DCWEEK will kick off with a riotous takeover of the 9:30 Club, and a lineup of DC-only music. BYT regulars Big/Bright, Ra Ra Rasputin and Modern Man will be there. So will The Silver Liners and Drop Electric…and 4 other beloved local bands. DJ work from Que Sera/The State Department’s Aaron Baird and that lovable teddy bear of Socket Records’ Sean Peoples will keep things sweaty. And a dedicated VIP section with open bar surely won’t hurt.
Because we love you, and you love DC, we have a pair of tickets to the show to give away. Each ticket is worth $25, and is made out of a discarded iPhone 3G. (Not actually true.) It would definitely have to be Siri. I never thought the day would come when artificial intelligence would be real!
