Mother’s Grille in Baltimore (yes, I know not in DC, but pretty close) has their “Heart Attack on a Plate” – a beer battered, deep fried cheeseburger. D.Lish.Us.
Sichuan Twice Cooked Pork
http://www.absolutechinatours.com/china-cuisine/Twice-cooked-Pork.html
BBQ Pork sandwich like thing from Cuba Libre. It was chessy, gooey heaveness on bread.
The fried pork chop from Henry’s on U St. They put 4 layers of wax paper in the bottom of the styrofoam container and the grease soaks through all of them.
Not sure I need tix, I just like talking about fatty food. Definitely some badass pepper bacon and green onion mac and cheese I made, and then deep fried.
For sure, the Monte Cristo at the Diner. Turkey, ham, Swiss, and cheddar on thick cut toast, dipped in egg batter and fried golden brown. Piping hot and cheesy, it’s always better with extra maple syrup. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory!
The Cheesecake Factory: Farmhouse Cheeseburger & top it off with an Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake!
Veggie chilli dog with veggie chilli fries at Ben’s Chilli Bowl!
Amsterdam falafel. Booyah.
veggie chilli dog and chilli fries with extra chesse at Ben Chilli Bowl
The S’mores milkshake at Serendipity 3′s. Chocolate milkshake topped with what seems like half a bag of toasted marshmallows and grahams. Sugar. Coma.
ben’s chili bowl, preferably when it’s eaten after 2 a.m.! nothing says fatty and delicious like a chili cheese dog paired with chili cheese fries.
fried chicken and waffles with a side of mac and cheese and founding farmers!
ChurchKey’s New Luther!
Spike’s Sunnyside from Good Stuff! Burger with a fried egg, bacon, Good Stuff sauce, ketchup and mayo + fries + chocolate milk shake. No room for veggies, sors.
Three Little Pigs sandwich from Kangaroo Boxing Club.
So good. So very very good.

Chef Alex McCoy begins with a half-pound of Angus beef, blended with herbs and brown sugar and brushed with butter before hitting the grill. Once that’s on your plate, he adds a mound of pulled-pork BBQ (slow roasted for six hours and doused with his proprietary sauce), bacon, Gouda, caramelized onions, coleslaw—and a fried egg.
Vermonster. I think it speaks for itself.
Though not specific to DC, and no longer in DC, the Butter Cake at CPK is ridiculously, deliciously, gross
It was in Baltimore (sorry DC) but I had the Bacon milkshake before Burger King stole it. I don’t even like bacon, but that was DELICIOUS.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuppper heavy and rich and amazing POUTINE! @ the Green Pig in Arlington. Filled to the brim with duck liver (aka Fois Gras) gravy and pulled pork, topped with God-knows-what kind of cheese. Instant heart attack but soooo damnnn goood.
Cola-tempura deep-fried bacon-wrapped peanut butter cups at the Passenger. BOOM.
jack daniels pulled pork sandwich with onions rings on the inside, fries on the side. extra saucy.
Easy, the Strasburger @ Nationals Park. Eight pounds of delicious regret:
