• Fashion District Week(end) – October 14-16, ReadySetDC’s indie DC fashion runway show concept gets expanded into a weekend. DC designers & models strut their stuff in a full runway show. This year’s featured designers include some old faces and new: Artaya, Cote Minou, DeNada Design, Derringer Friday, Durkl, Espion, Ginger Root Design, Hugh & Crye and SaintCHIC. OUR FULL PREVIEW IS COMING TOMORROW.

• REDEEM TURNS 5 ON OCTOBER 15TH - AND–In commemoration of the 5 year milemarker, they’ve teamed up with Colombian fashion brand A New Cross as the exclusive retail partner for their Fall/Winter 2011 collection. View the collection debut at our 5 Year Anniversary celebration Saturday, Oct. 15th from 6:30PM to 9:30PM, and meet the duo behind the remarkable art-inspired brand: Nicolas Rivero and David Angel.
• W + Fashion for Paws Halloween bash – October 28th – A portion of the proceeds goes to the Washington Humane Society and best costume wins a W DC sleepover package. Tickets are $30 and available at eventfarm.com/wdchalloween.
• TWEED RIDE #3: is organized for November. Dates and details will be announced soon.
• ANNIE LIEBOWITZ @ POLITICS & PROSE – November 17 – Photography groupies should be lining up around the block for this.
