Welcome back to another edition of Must See Concerts: NYC edition, July 15-21. Here’s who you should really aim to see this week:
- Branchez & LOUDPVCK @ Highline Ballroom, July 17
Check out this remix of Rihanna’s “Stay,” where New York producer Branchez tweaks the vocals to every pitch possible, and weaves them into the hi-hats and synths to make them part of the beat. Expect more of this occasionally sexy occasionally trapped out remixed and productions to weave into a great set. Check out more here at his Soundcloud.
- Justin Timberlake & Jay Z @ Yankee Stadium, July 19 + 20
Maybe you have SO MUCH MONEY TODAY, and you feel like spending over one hundred dollars to see Jay Z and Justin Timberlake at Yankee Stadium! Maybe! We couldn’t blame you.
- Dreamlover @ South Street Port, July 20
First, I know you’re hella broke after whatever you don’t remember doing last night (maybe the Jay Z/JT concert?), so come chill out with us FO’ FREE down at the South Street Seaport for DREAM LOVER! Erika Spring (Au Revoir Simone) will be doing a DJ set, and Morgan H. West will be hooking us up with lounge-ready installations PERFECT for any hangover!
- Odd Future & Meek Mill @ Williamsburg Park, July 20
Maybe you would prefer to shell out to see a night of (possibly controversial??) hip hop with Odd Future, Meek Mill and more tonight.
If we missed anything you’re looking ESPECIALLY forward to this week, please feel free to fill me in via the comments and/or on Twitter. BYE!
