Every year the Shakespeare Theatre Company‘s Gala After Hours is a capital “G” Grand affair, and with our 3rd year in a row attending, we are happy to report not much has changed. This year-the honoree and recipient of the WILL award for classical acting was F.Murray Abraham (hot tip: you guys-AMADEUS is on instant netflix, so you know what you need to be doing this weekend, k?) and the likes of Jerry Stiller, Bill Irwin and Shakespeare Theatre Company’s creative director Michael Kahn gathered together to tell tales, share memories and salute the man of the hour.
Then, as planned, the party moved from Sidney Harman Hall to National Building Museum for drinks, food and, apparently dancing prom style to and “Push It” and while in ballgowns, which we, naturally saluted by taking A LOT OF PHOTOS.
So, I’ll cut this short and let you enjoy those.
And a final note-if you had a good time here- we highly recommend you check out STC’s “Under 35″ programs and discounts for future bonding over theatre opportunities.

That’s me having a conversation with F. Murray Abraham (about the music of Elis Regina).
And it was me who made ‘em dance like it was prom night. Good times.
