I had never been to The Fridge before. In fact, I’ve only vaguely heard of The Fridge until Panda Head (blog/magazine/ideal lifestyle) announced their first ever END OF SUMMER BUMMER film night. And when I saw how quickly The Fridge filled up on Saturday night, I felt rather silly for being so oblivious. The overflowing room was treated to 17 summer-themed short films from long-time local directors and newbies alike. Each featured a strikingly different portrayal of summer, expressed through numerous styles and soundtracks, and performances by our favorite local celebrities. As these trippy, witty, and eye-popping films progressed, we nearly began to say our goodbyes to summer– that is, until we stepped back out into the Eastern Market humidity.
