ONOMONOMEDIA PHOTO BOOTH PHOTOS WILL BE POSTED IN A SEPARATE POST LATER THIS MORNING, SO CHECK BACK!
Well, if a photo is worth a thousand words, then what are 300+ photos of 3000+ people worth? More than I can ever actually write, that’s what. So — lets do a run down THANK YOU list since this was a team marathon effort and then we can get on with the people watching:
- THANK YOU ALL (all 3107 of you) for coming. You were all such stars.
- THANK YOU TO THE NEWSEUM for having us over again and for being such a magical party (and educational) location
- THANK YOU to Ancient Astronauts, Nickodemus & Soul Call Paul (who held it down on the 6th floor with phenomenal danceable selections that had people busting moves like I’ve never seen before) for being great, great DJs for this night
- THANK YOU to Erik Loften for creating the hilarious and amazing animations for the jumbotron
- THANK YOU to Andrew Bucket, Adrian Parsons, Sebastian Rousseau & CO for that impromptu dance war paint performance
- THANK YOU to the caricaturists
- THANK YOU to onomonomedia photobooth — we always fear we’ll break you with the demand
- THANK YOU to the hyper efficient door and bar staff (including our long suffering interns)
- THANK YOU to Smirnoff and PBR for being our liquor and beer sponsors
- THANK YOU to everyone who posted a missed connection on CL for someone at this party
- THANK YOU to everyone for everything
- yes, we’ll be back.
Now, enjoy these:

Thank you BYT. I had a blast. Smooches.
SO MUCH POSITIVITY IN ONE POST!!! Woohoo. I love it!
I agree! The DJ was horrible. I was so disappointed–I actually left the party to go dancing…
“i can’t tell if this is a joke or not. if not, when have you ever seen byt cover shitty music like usher or katy perry? maybe you’d have more fun in georgetown or something..”
you must have been one of the 30 people dancing out of 3107…..
Could not agree more. i had a great time, but was expecting to dance… boo.
Most fun I had in a while ! Great job BYT.
Who couldn’t love a party stacked with Natty Boh beer and cute people?
INCREDIBLE PARTY. Drinking PBR by the Berlin Wall, um duh!
There were cocktail bars in the elevators. I need not say more, but I will. This was so fun, and getting to see the exhibits between dancing with my friends was a treat. I even caught an pink bunny when inflatable balloons were raining down on the dancefloor. Loves it.
The lines were improved from last time, but both DJ’s SUCKED. That’s the best way to ruin a party. They didn’t play any top 40 songs. How can you dee jay a party and not have anything from Lady Gaga, Usher, Katy Perry, etc. ? It was the worst.

This was special. I wish I had something more hip to say, but I just remember walking into the party (my first time at the Newseum as well) and thinking “Wow, this is special.” I really didn’t expect that experience.
It was a good party, but the music did suck. techno is fine….but really….they coulda mixed it up just a tad….and there were PLENTY of people who agreed…which is why so many folks WEREN’T dancing….
Where was the food that was promised???
Did you not make it down to where the caricaturists were? Half of that floor is a cafe/restaurant with yummy bites for purchase.
I LOVE-A THIS PARTY!!!
We did too! These are gorgeous pictures of gorgeous people in a gorgeous venue, BUT the music was awful. BYT, it was an almost perfect party–get new ones for next time.
The danger of getting big: bad taste creep.
Thank you guys for an awesome party.
