The Heineken Mural Project kicked off last week at the Blind Whino SW Arts Club. The massive space has been re-imagined by 500 artists featuring 1,000 works from around the globe. The project is part of the G40 Art Summit, a month long celebration of visual artists.
The Mural Project, located at 700 Delaware Ave SW in a building built in 1875 that’s been sitting vacant for two decades, will be open Thursday through Sunday until October 6. In addition to the Blind Whino space, Heineken is also hosting pop up parties on September 11 at 301 I St NW and September 12 at The Lot at Union Kitchen. Artists Aniekan from Washington DC, Brendan Tierny from Virginia, Ever from Argentina and Rubin from New York City will be featuring original works at the events.
