Before all the nerds get down to the hard work of trying to save the world with tweets this week, they tossed aside their pocket protectors and danced the night away under the roof of the 9:30 Club last Friday for the DCWEEK Opening Party. A lineup of DC-only music, including BYT regulars Big/Bright, Ra Ra Rasputin and Modern Man, were on hand to soundtrack an otherwise raucous evening. Plus excellent DJ work from Que Sera/The State Department’s Aaron Baird and that lovable teddy bear of Socket Records’ Sean Peoples kept the crowd buzzin’ through sets changes. All in all, a good time — those nerds know how to party. So don’t forget: #DCWEEK, the District’s 2nd annual technology conference goes on for the remainder of the week, including a sweet Closing Party @ Arena Stage that we are more than pumped for!
